A resident of Pelon. Two Pelonites are mentioned in the Old Testament: 1) Helez, one of "David's mighty men" (1 Chron 11:27). 1 Chron 27:10 tells, additionally, that he as an Ephraimite and commader of one of the divisions of David's army. 2) Ahijah the Pelonite is mentioned also, though only in passing, as one of David's mighty men. While we may surmise from 1 Chron 27:10 that Pelon was probably located in Ephraimite territory nothing of certain can be said about it.
