The city of Bethlehem - birthplace of David and Jesus - lies on the southern horizon of Jerusalem.
Through David's conquest of the city Jerusalem entered into Israel's story, the story of God's Kingdom. Through Jesus, the Greater Son of David, all God's promises for His Kingdom are fulfilled.
