1. The Hebrew sentence at this point is awkward, and leaves the indefinite "day" without predication. Most English translations solve this problem by adding a linking phrase and a definite article to the noun, such as "remember the day" (NIV, NASB), "how on the day" (RSV, ESV), "especially concerning the day" (NKJ), or by skirting the problem altogether by rendering it out of the translation, as in the NRS, with "how you once stood . . . when . . ."
