It should be noted that while William Barclay can be insightful, many evangelicals have difficulties with his theology, chiefly because he was a universalist, i.e., he believed that all men, and women, will be saved, irrespective of their decisions with regards to Christ. You should exercise extra caution, therefore, in using commentaries by him.
