Media is mentioned 8x in the OT, half of them in the book of Esther.

Ezr 6:2 - "A scroll was found in the citadel of Ecbatana in the province of Media, and this was written on it: Memorandum: [In the first year of King Cyrus, the king issued a decree concerning the temple of God in Jerusalem: Let the temple be rebuilt as a place to present sacrifices, and let it . . .]"
Est 1:3 - "[At that time King Xerxes reigned from his royal throne in the citadel of Susa,] and in the third year of his reign he gave a banquet for all his nobles and officials. The military leaders of Persia and Media, the princes, and the nobles of the provinces were present.
Est 1:14 - "[Since it was customary for the king to consult experts in matters of law and justice, he spoke with the wise men who understood the times] and were closest to the king—Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena and Memucan, the seven nobles of Persia and Media who had special access to the king and were highest in the kingdom.
Est 1:19 - "Therefore, if it pleases the king, let him issue a royal decree and let it be written in the laws of Persia and Media, which cannot be repealed, that Vashti is never again to enter the presence of King Xerxes. Also let the king give her royal position to someone else who is better than she."

Isa 21:2 - "A dire vision has been shown to me: The traitor betrays, the looter takes loot. Elam, attack! Media, lay siege! I will bring to an end all the groaning she caused."
Jer 25:25 - "[So I took the cup from the Lord hand and made all the nations to whom he sent me drink it: Jerusalem and the towns of Judah, its kings and officials, to make them a ruin and an object of horror and scorn and cursing, as they are today; . . . all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the foreign people who live in the desert;] all the kings of Zimri, Elam and Media; [and all the kings of the north, near and far, . . .]"
Dan 8:20 - "['Son of man,' he said to me, 'understand that the vision concerns the time of the end.' . . . He said: 'I am going to tell you what will happen later in the time of wrath, because the vision concerns the appointed time of the end.] The two-horned ram that you saw represents the kings of Media and Persia. [The shaggy goat is the king of Greece, and the large horn between his eyes is the first king.']"
