1. The key word here is 'hardly,' i.e., very seldom. Nature and Science , the former is Britih and the latter north American, are the premier science journals in the world. Any scientist who gets published (as the first author) in either would have his career made. New Scientists and Scientific American are more intended for those scientifically interested.

3. It is a strange interpretation of religious liberty. One would have thought that the guarantee of religious freedom means that all religion could, in principle, be taught in schools just as any religion could be practiced in society. How could one possibly ban the teaching in schools of something that is so central to the lives of the people as a whole? Just as strange, of course, is that guns, by another strange interpretation of the Third Amendment, are allowed in schools.
