These refer to the three main interpretations of the binding of Satan for a thousand-year reported in Rev 20.
Pre-millennialism holds that this chapter teaches a literal thousand-year reign of Christ after his return.
Post-millennialism maintains that the thousand-year reign precedes his return.
Amillennialism (or 'non-millennialism' in older literature) stresses that the book of Revelation treats numbers symbolically, argues that the thousand-year of Satan's binding simply means that Satan is completely bound and refers to the victory accomplished by Christ's death on the cross. Some amillennialist think that it refers to the rest from spiritual conflict beyond the grave.
