Two men are known by this name in the Old Testament.
1) David's first born son by Ahinoam of Jezreel. Apart from his appearance in David's family history, he appears in the OT as the scoundrel who, pretending to be ill, tricked his father into letting his step-sister, Tamar, take care of him. He then raped her and cast her out. Tamar's own blood-brother Absalom took care of her, and eventually, plotted Amnon's murder (2 Sam 13:1-33) Of the 28x his name appears in the Bible, 25 relate to this incidence.
2) A member of Judah list only incidentally in as a descendent of the tribe in 1 Chron 4:11.
