The name given to the collection of nine creedal declarations acknowledged by and that form the doctrinal foundations of the Evangelical Lutheran Churches: the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed (with the Filioque), the Athanasian Creed, the Augsburg Confession (1530) and its accompanying Apology of the Confession (1530), the Articles of Smalcald, by Luther (1537), the two Catechism of Luther (1529), and the Form of Concord (1577).
