Professor of in Manchester University, F. F. Bruce is one of the most famous and prodigious evangelical scholars in the English-speaking world. His numerous publications, both technical-academic as well as popular, has established his reputation as an expert in almost every aspect of NT studies (including its background in the Graeco-Roman world) but also in archaelogy and the Dead Sea Scrolls. If that was not enough he was elected president of the Society for Old Testament Study in 1965.
