The first person to be born of a father and mother, Cain was the first son of Adam and Eve. He also had the dubious honour of being the first murderer (he killed his brother, Abel) as well as the first person to be placed under a divine curse. His story and that of his line, which eventually died out, is told in Gen 4:1-24. Outside of this chapter, he is mentioned, always in reference to his murder, in Heb 11:4; 1 Jn 3:12 & Jud 1:11.
While the NT remembers Cain theologically, most Christians remember him for his wife; where did he get his wife from?
