Clement

One of Paul's "co-workers . . . whose names are in the book of life" (Phil 4:3). Clement—which is Latin for 'merciful'—is mentioned only here in the NT, and we know nothing else about him. Some sources in the early centuries of the Church have identified him with Clement of Rome, but there is no certainty of opinion.
