Evil remains one of the, if not the, greatest mysteries in theological thinking. The Bible simply assumes it exists and is reticent about its origin, and yet everything we say about God and His purpose assumes evil as its background. Volumes upon volumes have been written about the subject, and it would be extreme foolishness to even imagine that anything useful about evil can be said in the short space here. We have, therefore, content ourselves with listing here some resouces that we think you will find useful in reflecting on the subject.
