Glory

The quality of an object or person that makes it worthy of praise, satisfaction, and/or veneration. In the case of God, we may say that it is the sum total of all that He is that makes Him, rightfully and wholly, worthy of worship.

The Hebrew word most frequently translated 'glory' is kabod, whose basic meaning is the weight of the object. The Greek word is doxa. The various forms of the word 'glory' appears about 385x in the NIV, spread over about 350 verses.
