Hebrew Lexiccon

A Hebrew-English dictionary.

The standard modern Hebrew lexicon to go to is HALOT (Hebrew and Aramaic Lexicon of the Old Testament), a 5-volumned work by L. Koehler and W. Baumgartner, and translated by M. E. J. Richardson, and J. J. Stamm. It is published by Brill, 2000 (also available as an e-version from Logos Bible Softeware for about USD 160; find out more N).

The classical work before HALOT came along is BDB (Brown-Driver-Briggs) by F. Brown, S. R. Driver and C. A. Briggs; it was published by Oxford University Press in 1906 and reprinted with some small corrections in 1951. It is still a usable lexicon for students who do not need the latest in scholarship and is available online as pdf's for download. Here are links to two of the most useful versions:
