Kyrie eleison

Ki-ree-ay ay-lay-ee-sonn is Greek for "Lord, have mercy." Kyrie eleison (or just Kyrie) is a form of prayer—either as a cry of repentance or an appeal for particular needs—found in all Greek-speaking churches but also in the Roman Catholic mass, as well as in Lutheran and Anglican services.
