Michael

A very common Hebrew name, meaning "who is like God?" It occurs 15x in Scriptures, from which at least nine persons and one angel can be identified.

Of the persons named, very little are known about them, occurring as they do in name-list or genealogies. Those who can be identified include: 1) the father of the scout, Sethur, representing the tribe of Asher sent by Moses to spy out the land of Canaan (Num 13:13), 2) head of a family from the tribe of Gad (1 Chron 5:13), 3)
