A collection of 42 odes, probably written by a Christian heavily influenced by Jewish thoughts—possibly a Christian convert from Judaism—sometime at the end of the 1st Cent or the beginning of the 2nd Cent AD.
Scholars believe that there is a strong association between the Odes and the Gospel of John, though there is no concensus about the exact nature of this association.
The works may be interesting but have little importance for preaching and teaching.
