Quakers - Society of Friends

A religious group tracing its origin to the English Puritans. Rejecting all forms of organized worship, sacraments, and creeds, they instead wait silently in their worship for the inspiration by the Holy Spirit of individual members to provide extempore prayers, sermons or testimonies. The label 'Quakers' derive from their trembling in response to such inspired "Light of the Spirit.""

Because they reject such fundamental doctrines as original sin, inputed righteousness, and the Trinity, Quakers are held suspects by most mainline Christian churches. There are about half a million Quarkers in the world today, most of them in USA.
