The Romans Road

This expression encapsulates a way of explaining God's plan of salvation using verses selected from the Paul's letter to the Romans. The verses selected varies somewhat but tend to focus on the following seven verses (NIV):

3:23 - for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

3:10-18 - As it is written:
"There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one."
"Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit."
"The poison of vipers is on their lips."
"Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness."
"Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know."
"There is no fear of God before their eyes."

6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

5:8 - But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

10:9 - If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10:13 - for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

5:1 - Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

8:1 - Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

8:38-39 - For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
