N. T. Wright

N.T. Wright is the former bishop of Durham in the Church of England and one of the world's leading Bible scholars. He is now research professor of New Testament and early Christianity at the University of St. Andrews. He is the author of over 50 books, including the 'For Everyone' guides to the New Testament, the highly acclaimed series, Christian Origins and the Question of God, and the best-selling Simply Christian, Surprised by Hope, and Virtue Reborn. If N. T. Wright is rich in insights and wisdom, he is also somewhat controversial, often seen as a stauch member of the "New Perspective on Paul" group of scholars (but see article by Schreiner below).

For a sample of Wright's preaching, this series is one of my favourites, six sermons delivered during the Easter season (23-26 Apr) 2019 at St Paul's, Hammersmith, London. The series also demonstrates how a good preacher can make extremely good with less than half an hour.
