Ahinoam

The name of two ladies in the Old Testament.

1) Daughter of Ahimaaz and Saul's wife as well as mother of Jonathan, Ishvi and Malki-Shua (1 Sam 14:49-50). Nothing else is reported about her.

2) David's wife, usually referred to as "Ahinoam of Jezreel," who gave him his first-born son, Amnon (2 Sam 3:2; 1 Chron 3:1). Though mentioned 6x in all, little is actually said about her apart from the facts in the previous sentence (also 1 Sam 25:43; 27:3; 30:5; 2 Sam 3:2).
