The seat of the Anglican Bishop of London, St Paul's Cathedral is one of the most iconic buildings in the city of London. Located on the north bank of the River Thames, and a short distance from the Tower of London, the first building was dedicated in 604 AD. Destroyed several times in its long history, the present building was designed and its construction overseen by Christopher Wren after its fourth permutation was destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666.
